Wax On Felt Records

Emerson College's ONLY student-run label

“You always think it can’t get crazier - and then you play Boston” were Those Darlin’s words to the boisterous crowd that inhabited the Middle East. Comin’ up from Nashville TN, Those Darlins are just an example of the killer rock currently cranked out of this Music Capital. The basement vibe and red glow of the Middle East Downstairs set the perfect atmosphere for these rockin’ chicks to get the crowd riled-up. The three front-women of Those Darlin, Jessi, Nikki and Kelley Darlin along with beat man Linwood Regensburg tore the crowd up and brought them to a frenzy. Opening with ‘Be Your Bro’ the spunky bunch was all about giving themselves to the crowd, each with their own grooving and distinct performance style. Nikki with her sultry and sexy moves, Jessi and her spunky devilish eyes, and Kelley with her classic rockin’ vibes intoxicated the crowd. With wicked growls, the crowd couldn’t of been more excited over their blend of punk rock and country.  With Jessi crowd surfing mid guitar-riffs and Nikki’s tantalizing seductive rasping the band proclaimed this night “crazier then New York City” - Those Darlins really turned this crowd on.
